Born in California to a family with music in its genes, Robin Mink has been singing since she popped out of her mother’s womb. Though the begging began at age 4, Robin finally received her first guitar when she turned nine. She hasn’t put that guitar down since--her audacity and precision are a true telltale.
A childhood filled with school musicals, talent shows, and local gigs set the life-course for this extraordinarily musical artist. Robin won first place in the Santa Barbara Arts Council “Works For Voice,” with high praise from judges Kenny Loggins and Norman Gimble (Killing Me Softly). Landing in Nashville in 2001 with her award winning debut CD, “More To Love,” Robin quickly gained the respect of the masters while remaining little known by the masses. Publicist Pam Lewis (Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, EmmyLou Harris) teamed up with Mink and afforded her greater visibility in Music City. As a result, Robin was honored with the “DisCovery Award” in the June 2003 issue of Music Row Magazine by Robert K. Oermann. He says, “Mink Hits A Home Run!” (see full review)
Fueled by the respect of the Music City pros, Robin spent eight years honing her crafts “Nashville Style,” working and playing with the likes of Andy Hall (of The Infamous Stringdusters), Tom Roady (Aretha Franklin, Ricky Skaggs, everyone), Dave Pomeroy (EmmyLou Harris, Trisha Yearwood), and MC Potts (Vince Gill, Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson). This exposure and newfound passion led her to embrace a unique sound and inspired her work to grow in unparalleled directions. Wielding a punchy telecaster with raw and irreverent textures, Robin Mink found a sound and energy all her own.
After moving to Oregon for a short time to be with her family, Robin Mink has since returned to Nashville with her cat Stanley Marie. Mink has recently accepted an invitation to be a ConcertsInYourHome.com artist.* She comes with new material, a renewed spirit, and her unrelenting fervor. Be on the lookout for this uniquely unrivaled performer!
